Snowflake, Buffed Vegetable Ivory Button




Here is a little buffed Vegetable Ivory button.

I have always been fascinated by snowflakes.
I guess it's the mathmatic side of me.
My snowflakes can't hold a candle to old Ma Nature's creations,
but then, she's had a lot more practice:)

This beautiful work of wearable art is 1 and 1/4 inches in Diameter.
It is carved from Palm Nut,
which is similar to Tagua Nut,
But I find it to be harder and stronger,
And consequently, it achieves a high shine,
And longevity.

The carving is signed,

And dated "11-26-2005"

The entire button is finely polished, front and back.

And the hole is clean and straight.
