Swan Flying Antler Button

This is my second "Swan Flying" Button.
This guy is going westbound.

This piece is carved from an EXCEPTIONAL piece of shed Moose antler.
I have been holding this material back for some time,
as it is very dense, and lends itself well to detail,
and durability.
I carved his eye, and beak, as well.

Speaking of detail,
I got all carried away again,
and ended up carving over seventy
feathers on this little guy.

Now I don't usually duplicate myself,
But one of my best customers told me
that she hadn't wanted to bid against one of my other good customers,
so I decided to carve another.
Now don't get used to this.
If I go carving multiples a lot,
what's to encourage comepetitive bidding?
I mean, That's the whole point
of me starting my auctions so ridiculously low.

I am gearing up for my biggest "Brick-and-mortar" show of the year,
in Dallas in April and May.
And I need to get busy with my real bread and butter work.
I will be posting some of my jewelry in my store,
At full retail prices.
You will see what I am used to charging for my work.
For example,
if I was to offer a pendant,
of this quality in my Shop,
I would have to request about 78-90 dollars.
If my regular customers knew about my Ebay sales,
I would catch an earfull,
I'll tell you.

This button is about 1.75 inches in long,
and 1.25 inches high.

It has an integral shank.
In this picture you can see
that I have carved some feathers into the rear wing, as well.

It is signed T. Runfeldt across the wing,
and 2-2006 on the body.
